Group Classes on:

Wednesday Morning, Saturday Morning and Saturday Afternoons
Classes are once a week for 6 weeks at Winnetka Community House in a room with a thick rubber mat on the floor. An introduction to the class, what to bring and instructions will be e-mailed to all participants prior to the first class.

Bring to first day of class:

Dog’s vaccination papers (need to see only). (First class only)
Soft small, tasty treats for your dog.
Clean-up bags to each class.
Please do not wear sandals without a back strap.
Completed registration form which will be e-mailed to you prior to class
$10.00 materials fee paid directly to the instructor.
Reactive dogs are not allowed in this obedience class
All recommended training methods will use positive reinforcement techniques.

Puppy Obedience:

10:00 a.m. - Puppies 12 weeks and older. Covers; house training, dressing your dog, attention, focus, nose targeting, touch command, marker word, come/recall, sit, down, stay, waiting at the door. Long line exercises, grooming and start of going to your place/bed, and an opportunity to take the AKC STAR Test.

Puppy Class Curriculum

Basic Obedience:

11:00 a.m. - Dogs 5 months and older. Covers; attention & focus, distance recall, leave it, drop it, auto sit, down, stay, 360 degree walk around, working with distractions, going to your place/bed, loose leash walking, healing, markers and other obedience skills and the introduction of Intermediate Obedience skills including an opportunity to take the CGC Test.
